Founded by Florence Debell Bartlett and opened to the public in 1953, this famous museum has four wings exhibiting some 125,000 objects from over 100 countries, making it larger than any other museum in the world. The Gerard Wing hosts a permanent exhibit of approximately 10,000 pieces from the Gerard Foundation Collection. The Hispanic Heritage wing hosts the finest collection of Hispanic religious art in the country. The Neutrogena Wing displays some 2,900 textiles and other objects.
