9. The Plaza

The Plaza, a shady expanse of trees, grass, benches and monuments, is the core of old Santa Fe, the city's "Central Park." There are numerous shops and restaurants surrounding the plaza and nearby streets. It's one of four sites in Santa Fe listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A nice small plaza where you can enjoy an ice cream in the late afternoon. Limited seating on park benches. For some reason the grass is fenced off, so you can only stroll on the walkways.
