6. Ski Santa Fe

SANTA FE MOUNTAIN.   Beckoning you to its 12,000-foot summit, Santa Fe Mountain provides over 1,650 vertical feet of choice skiing for both beginners and the experienced, on some 44 trails. At its foot lies the multicultural desert city, Santa Fe. Equipment rentals are available, including skis, boots and poles, as well as snow blading and snow boarding equipment. A great way to get an up close look at autumn foliage is from the scenic chairlift ride, which runs for about three weeks in late September and October. Hours:

Ski season generally runs Thanksgiving to Easter, but call for exact dates. Lifts during ski season run Daily 9am-4pm. Fall color scenic chairlift Late-Sep to mid-Oct Daily 10am-3pm.
