2. Gerald Peters Gallery

Peters is the 500-pound gorilla of Santa Fe, one of the few galleries that most every art-interested tourist will visit. More like a small museum, the contemporary art room alone is larger than most Santa Fe galleries. Wander through the maze of rooms and stare at the masterpieces, from Picasso to O'Keeffe, Moore to Stella. Stop in at the lovely sculpture garden and great bookstore. This is an excellent place to begin a gallery tour of Santa Fe, since Peters shows so many historically significant New Mexican artists from the past 150 years.   (© 10Best)
