6. Riva Yares Gallery

An art dealer for 35 years, Riva Yares built her reputation in Scottsdale, but her Santa Fe gallery is equally formidable. Yares's artist list reads like a who's who of American painters from the early to mid-20th century, featuring heavyweights on the order of Helen Frankenthaler, Hans Hofmann, Milton Avery, Morris Louis, Adolph Gottlieb and Jules Olitski, collage artist Conrad Marca-Relli and contemporary painter/sculptor Manuel Neri, among many others.
