4. Owings - Dewey Fine Art

Owings-Dewey specializes in 19th and 20th century paintings, as well as prints, Spanish Colonial furniture from New Mexico and carved paintings and sculptures of saints (called "retablos" and "bultos"). The gallery represents the estates of some of the early New Mexico painters such as Ben Messick, Raymond Jonson, Will Schuster and William Penhallow Henderson, a Massachusetts native that moved to Santa Fe in 1916. An illustrator, painter, muralist, furniture-maker and architect, Henderson applied his post-Impressionist style to images of the Southwest.   (© 10Best)
