This is a blue-chip gallery with impeccable taste and a penchant for museum-quality pieces. Stroll down a little dirt path off Canyon Road toward the Compound Restaurant, and Bellas Artes sits like a serene queen. World-class artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Kushner, Anne and Patrick Poirier, and Ellsworth Kelly show here, and some of the most provocative work is sculptural, often made with fiber. Norma Minkowitz, for example, crochets five human torsos in "A Story," a most beautiful series exploring issues of confinement. Lots of people miss this gallery. Don't be one of those.   (© 10Best)
