5. Juan Dolio

Just north of Boca Chica, the beach at Juan Dolio provides a long stretch of sand and crushed coral for sunbathing or playing volleyball or beach football. However, the underwater coral may make for an uncomfortable expedition if you're looking for more water-focused activities. Don't let this keep you away – resorts and nightlife destinations along the strand are well worth the trip and have blossomed in recent years.   (© 10Best)
