4. Botanical Gardens

The National Botanical Gardens in Santo Domingo are considered by many to be among the world's best. They offer a variety of flora, including graceful palms and over 300 types of orchids. At 200-plus acres, the garden is the Caribbean's largest and provides an opportunity to explore a vast array of native plants.
