2. Catedral de Santa María la Menor

ZONA COLONIAL.   Construction started on the Catedral de Santa María la Menor in 1514 – just as the city was starting to blossom – and was completed in the mid-1540s. The first Catholic cathedral in the New World, this structure stands as a reminder of the city's history and culture. The limestone and coral facade highlights the Gothic and Baroque architecture, and a handmade, silver altar pays tribute to the Age of Exploration. Appropriate dress required.   (© 10Best)

Beautiful from the out side and what I could see looking through the door. I wasn't allowed in because I was wearing shorts :( REMEMBER: Dress church attire when going and looking at National Historical Building... specially churches
