GAZCUE.   El Conuco means "the countryside," and diners have no problem transporting themselves from the city and into the eatery's mosaic of hammocks, plants, and woven blankets. The restaurant even looks like a thatched-roof bungalow. The menu keeps up the theme with a selection of the area's most authentic Dominican dishes. Try "La Bandera" (beef simmered with rice, kidney beans, and fried bananas) or something a little less exotic, like chicken cooked in onions and red wine.
