RIVERFRONT.   Invariably relaxed and populated by a largely local crowd, Chuck's is also a mainstay for gay folks. It's got a pool table, a jukebox and upholstery just made for lounging. The historic space provides time-tested character, and its off-the-beaten-path locale means that it's not a huge tourist spot. It is, however, considered something of a dive in the nicest, most beloved sense of the word.
