HISTORIC DISTRICT.   Hidden away beneath the venerable restaurant, this quiet, seductive place has mesmerized visitors for ages. It's got historic flavor courtesy of aged brick, gleaming woodwork, and fireplaces, and its upholstered furniture adds a measure of comfort. Post yourself on a sofa, or take a perch at the bar, and enjoy a glass of wine while you listen to lovely piano music and the jazz stylings of talented vocalists.
