HISTORIC DISTRICT.   With a tradition of hospitality dating back to 1753, this establishment did, indeed, cater to seamen early on. These days, it's got a more sedate clientele, and they're more inclined to gluttony than to marauding. Locals frequently recommend the highly rated restaurant, and its 15 different dining rooms can handle a host of patrons. The menu specializes in seafood (everything from a stomach-sating seafood platter to grouper Florentine), and there's a terrific, reasonably-priced Southern lunch buffet as well from 11am till 3pm. Fabulous desserts round out a great meal.   (© 10Best)

100% GREAT
To those who trashed this place, all I can say is that you most CERTAINLY don't know, yes indeed, just what good food is. Savannah's Pirate's House is one of the BEST eaterys you'll ever in this world find!!! Excellent cusine, it has been HIGLY and TRULY praised by the top food magazines in WORLD!!! As to the commenter who criticized the groupe, well, even the very top eateries have some off days now and then. I'm very sure that's what it was, that, and nothing else. Forall those who wish, who want, a fine, good and TRULY excellent dining experience, "The Pirates House" is the way to go.

Not Worth the Hype nor the Money
Over-priced and not-so-good seafood. My wife and I agreed that the "grouper" special that she ordered wasn't even grouper. I would have been happier with Captain D's; at least there you get what you pay for. Perhaps we should have gotten the Honey Pecan Chicken??

This place was a total tourist trap. The food was NOT good. The house for the historical value was neat, but this place was not good.
