Top Notch!
My wife and I were going to Savannah to celebrate our 30th anniversary so I had called ahead to make reservation. The week before arriving I sent an email to confirm and ask if they could make this a special night for my wife. The evening was perfect with the assistant manager taking time with us, having a girl come and sing at our table, bringing a "happy anniversary" plate with candle to our table and definitely going out of her way to make this a special evening. When we left we both got a hug and felt a "part of the family". Also, I am from the south but have to say that they had the best collard greens I have ever eaten. (sorry Mom, I hope you don't read this review) Wayne from NC

This is a must visit place when in Savannah. My boyfriend said we should go because of the reviews. OMG!!!! Everything they said to try, we did!IWe highly recommend it. We tried the She-crab soup, the caesar salad with the oysters. If you love seafood, you'll love this place. For our entrees, he had the special and I tried the yellow-fin Tuna.At first i was a little hesitant when the waiter suggested it raw to medium raw. But if you can eat sushi, you can eat this. It was perfect the way he suggested. And the dessert was unbelievable. The service was excellent and our waiter was very professional. The food was incredible! We will definitely eat there everytime we visit!

I have been to Savannah many times and I always stop at the Olde Pink House. The piano bar in the basement is a great place where the locals hang out and the same food is served there as upstairs. The best dish is the crispy flounder.

We visited the Pink House last night Dec 22 08, I chose the fillet and it was absolutely the best steak I have ever had ANYWHERE! My mom chose the pork tenderloin with collards & sweet potatoes and it melted in your mouth!!! I also chose the she crab soup....amazing! Our server was Otis, the service was EXCELLENT, he also took us on a tour of the beautiful home after our dinner!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this as a definite place to eat while in Savannah... we were so impressed.......we are going back tonight!

Perhaps I'm overreacting, but my friend and I recently went to this restaurant and I was appauled at the service rendered to us. Here goes my rant:
When we first walked in, the party of five who came in after us was attended to first, almost like my friend and I didn't exist. We were seated upstairs in a room with two other occupied tables (our waiter did not a horde of people to attend to). I kept a tally and in about a fourty-five minute interval, he had attended the table beside us a total of 8 times compared to the 3 times he'd been to ours. We NEVER received bread, even though he told us he was going to bring us fresh bread; and also the couple who was seated in his section after us, as well as everyone before us had received a basket. Also, I had to cut my lamb with a butterknife. The presentation was average, with no unique flavors or variations. In my personal opinion, the people who are treated the best are the people who look like they have money to spend or larger parties that guarantee a larger tip. Although my friend and I are somewhat younger, we were there to have a nice dinner out and we were disappointed to say the least. Not at all what I expected from Southern hospitatlity.

great great great food! our waitress was absolute trash and had a nasty attitude. It ruined our visit. I suppose if you don't get her it's perhaps one of the nicest places to eat. It is expensive however.

We ate at this fine restaurant in September. We were seated upstairs where we requested. There was a party of 10 at the table next to us. However we did not feel neglected by the staff. The flounder was the best I ever had. The food was expertly prepared and served. Also saw a paranormal episode. The waiter was serving 6 galsses of wine to the table next to us. One of the glasses was floating 6 inches above the tray and then appeared to be thrown off the tray and landed on the floor. Our waiter said that it was not an uncommmon occurance. Our room at the Gastonian B&B was also occupied. That's another story. All in all, the Pink House was excellent, as was the staff. We are reuring on December 29 for another great meal.

My husband and I both have been in the restaurant business, which does not make us experts, but... [M]y husband is a bit of a connoiseur when it comes to food and did not enjoy the food here. I, on the other hand, am not a connoisseur and grew up with my mother's bland cooking. I will eat almost anything. With that said, not only was the food at The Olde Pink House not worth the money, but it was simply bland There are so many other nice restaurants in Savannah, including those in historic buildings, so PLEASE don't waste your money! I live here, and I've heard no one speak of any hauntings going on while they were dining, so if you're looking for that experience, go somewhere else.

We made reservations in advance for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We didn't get the quiet area we requested, only someone's child running around our table. The service started ok but quickly went downhill when a party of four called the manager because they didn't get the server they requested. Management promised they would take care of them and they did. We sat through an entire meal with nothing to drink: water, tea. When our server came into the room she only attended to that party. All we got was a sorry and hope our next trip will be better. What a way to ruin a special evening. The others were also neglected. The food was ok, not above the rest. Come to Charleston SC, we don't treat our guest in such a terrible manner.

We dined at the Olde Pink House in May. Our waitress was the most professional waitress I've ever had anywhere. She knew the menu frontward and backwards. I had the filet, which was truly one of the best steaks I've ever had. The others at my table had the famous flounder and soft shell crab. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who ever goes to Savannah.

The food is exquisite! The house is beautiful. And maybe I did catch a glimpse or a feeling that some sweet spirits were lingering. The entertainment in the basement tavern was the perfect end to a perfect romantic night. Gail Thurmond is so very talented. Don't miss her, if you go!
