HISTORIC DISTRICT.
This sleek wine bar offers a pleasant atmosphere and outstanding cuisine. Red and black décor accents the interior, and the windows face Broughton Street. Creative appetizers, salads and main course offerings incorporate a variety of fun and interesting flavors. Try the scallops, topped with cumin and served on corn and black bean relish, or seared duck breast with a fried pastry cone. An affordable selection of wines is available by the glass.

I have the enviable position of eating out alot and enjoying good restaurants. Last night at A Vidas my wife and daughter and I had the single worst dining experience of my entire 55 year life time. We sampled a $52 bottle of Jordan Chardoney and the wine was off. I returned the nearly full bottle of wine and was forced by the owner to pay full price for a bottle of wine we did not drink. The owner had the audacity to tell me that "you may not like the wines flavor but it is not off, you just don't know wines" I actually own a 2000 bottle wine cellar and have been collecting fine wines for close to 20 years. I know wines and the Jordan was off. He had my credit card and stuck me with the $52 charge as well as the $30 wine we substituted. At this point the owner could try to comp a free meal and I would not accept.PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Fabulous wine selection, outstanding food and lots of fun people. Definitely a place where locals gather for food and drink. It's a must visit while in Savannah.
