PARADISE VALLEY. In translation "Hermosa" means "beautiful" in Spanish, and this inn is appropriately named. The retreat originally began in the 1930s, when a cowboy named Alonzo (Lon) Megargee used the land to build his humble art studio. Bit by bit, the one-room studio began to grow, and Megargee used his extra space to put friends up for the night. The accommodations soon became a side business for Megargee. Today, the hotel caters to a high-end clientele. With pools, tennis courts, individual adobe casitas, and a well-known restaurant, Hermosa Inn provides every guest with truly "beautiful" memories. Meeting facilities to accommodate 70. 35 rooms. Free parking. Daily $12 hospitality fee.
