SCOTTSDALE. Chompie's is a NY-style deli that serves three meals a day and everything in-between. Whether you're a bagel and cream cheese kind of morning person or a steak and eggs type, Chompie's has something for you. There are even low-carb and low-fat selections. At lunch, mile-high sandwiches are the way to go – the variety of meats and cheeses is astounding. Dinner runs the gamut from roasted chicken to stuffed cabbage to fish and chips. If you're still hungry after all that, feast on a made-from-scratch brownie or a black-and-white cookie, or have a slice of cheesecake, strudel, or Brooklyn seven-layer cake.

Cozy and often crowded, this petite French Country breakfast spot is where Scottsdalers go when they have the morning off. Crepes as good as these demand a long, lingering sit-down, so come prepared. Enjoy piping hot coffee with your choice of traditional sweet or savory crepes, including temptations like spinach and cheese, salmon and scrambled eggs, and banana and Nutella. Omelets, sandwiches, and salads complete the menu and provide alternative menu options for lunch. A special spot for a lazy morning with good friends.

PARADISE VALLEY. Asian-inspired place settings and touches of black and white provide a clean, minimal backdrop for elements' glorious mountain views – the restaurant's true centerpiece. While the dinner menu has an Eastern bent, breakfast options are decidedly classic. Go light with Irish oatmeal or a smoothie, or consider an omelet ranchero, eggs with turkey sausage, or pineapple rum pancakes with almond butter and toasted coconut. Feeling really decadent? The filet of steak version of eggs benedict boasts foie gras and truffled hollandaise sauce! Brunch adds in salads, burgers, and pastas.

PARADISE VALLEY. This place pays homage to Arizona's rustic Southwestern cowboy history in the most elegant of ways; the ambiance is strikingly different from what you would expect. The decor suggests cowboy, but the menu and staff dress it up and give the whole place an air of luxury. Menu highlights might include prickly pear-lacquered breast of duck and roasted poblano chile rellenos. The unique Sunday brunch menu offers such things as chicken and mushroom hash and cheese omelets smothered in poblano hollandaise. Additionally, everything on the menu is organic, humanely raised, and from ecologically sound sources.
