9. The Promenade

NORTH SCOTTSDALE.   A Scottsdale landmark, this shopping center combines big-name retailers, specialty shops, office space, and tempting restaurants all under one roof. Towering above the complex is a 125-foot spire conceived by Frank Lloyd Wright but never built by him – it's now a stunning architectural accent, especially when illuminated at night. Popular stops at the center include The Great Indoors, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, Maggiano's Little Italy, and In-N-Out Burger.
