The Buzz -- One of the city's oldest and longest-running festivals, Seafair began in 1950 as a tribute to Seattle's 100th anniversary. The schedule includes festivals and events throughout the Puget Sound area, over the course of about five weeks. Favorites include the Milk Carton Derby (a boat race with vessels crafted from milk cartons), an air show featuring the US Navy's Blue Angels, a parade, bike race, triathlon and hydroplane races. In addition, you can see the festival's signature clowns, catch the crowning of Miss SEAFAIR, and watch or take part in a host of other events too numerous to mention.
