The Buzz -- Forget everything you've come to expect from puppets – Pinocchio and Elmo these guys are not. Sculpture, video, photography, and other media center around unique puppets created by 29 different artists from different generations. The subject matter of these pieces ranges from the obvious (control) to the more obscure (politics). While puppets might not be the first things that come to mind when you think of art, they do have a unique ability to capture human thought and life in a way that a painting simply cannot.

The Space -- A Seattle institution since 1952, Frye Art Museum houses an impressive American and European collection left by Charles and Emma Frye. The Fryes immigrated to the US from Germany in the late 1800s and soon rose to prominence in the Seattle business community. In addition to a superb permanent collection, the museum hosts a number of traveling exhibits.
