PIONEER SQUARE.   Thanks to healthy doses of French Quarter charm, Big Easy-style cooking, and terrific live music, this establishment ably pleases, and its relatively close proximity to the city's main sporting venues gives it added appeal on game days. A schedule of regional jazz, blues, zydeco and Dixieland bands is occasionally complemented by national acts. And since the stage is right in the center of the dining room, there's really not a bad seat in the house. The wide-ranging menu features Creole and Cajun specialties. New Orleans is also a participant in the neighborhood's "joint cover" nights – when a cover charge is paid at one club, admission is granted at ten other Pioneer Square clubs.   (© 10Best)
