DOWNTOWN.   It could be argued quite persuasively that Pike Place Market is Seattle's heartbeat. Situated along the water, the market was originally founded to allow produce growers to sell directly to consumers. Today, it's a protected historic district that inundates you with sights, sounds, smells, and the best people-watching in town. Whether in suits or tie-dyed t-shirts, wearing boutonnieres or strewn with wildflowers, people of all persuasions find the market a fabulous place to spend the day. LOVE IT!! Pike Place Market was amazing!! My sister and I recommed this for everyone to go visit if your ever in Seattle! This was our first time here and we loved it! It's crowded but you have to go walk the market and experience this cool place. I wish we lived here just to buy the fresh fish. We love the reiner cherries, you have to try some. You can spend a whole day just exploring this venue---a real must for visitors to Seattle---we spent 4 hours there including lunch and felt there was more to see. The fishmongers are a real blast!!
