DOWNTOWN.   When it opened, this much-celebrated Thai restaurant took the city by...er, storm. Its exotic flavors, a mix of sweet and sour, salt and heat, fostered a new appreciation for Asian cuisine, especially dishes done with such skill and finesse. The driving force behind it all is Bo Kline, a Bangkok-born chef who takes authenticity to new heights and combines the traditions of peasant cooking and palace cuisine. Bo provokes palates with her takes on chicken coconut soup, pad thai, and miang kum (spinach wrapped morsels that explode with flavor). She also enlivens everything from chicken in green curry to lemongrass pork tenderloin and three-flavor fish. Bo's approach to fried bananas and homemade coconut ice cream also draw raves, and a huge selection of fragrant teas makes for great sampling. A must-try all the way around!   (© 10Best)

Hey used this website and went to this restaurant 8-8-09. This restaurant is closed. I would recommend removing it so Seattle tourist like myself dont wander across this city treking up stairs lusting for great thai cuisine only to be disappointed.

Typhoon! was worth the trip to go out to!!. I had plenty of Thai food and I'm part Thai myself so I am very picky. It has great menu selection and friendly fast service due to changes in management I've heard. The server said the chefs are hand picked five star chefs from Thailand and it shows in the presentation and quality of the entrees. Try the Fish on Fire or the Three flavor Fish and chocolate fried banana with coconut ice cream. The restaurant has a cozy elegant atmosphere that has Thai artifacts with a european feel. It's a great date place or family and business outings. I also notice it has a great happy hour selection. It's location is a little tricky since it is on Western avenue which is west of the Seattle Art Museum and before the waterfront boardwalk. I definitely though recommend Typhoon! as great restaurant to dine.
