DOWNTOWN.   Tuxedo-clad waiters set the tone for a Midwest classic that's staked a claim in the Northwest. Known for tableside presentations (yes, that's a live lobster on the cart), this steak house is famous for its 24-ounce porterhouse and its hearty portions. Sides must be ordered separately at additional cost, and the menu offers seafood, chicken, and veal for those who don't relish red meat. More than 175 wine complements are available as well. Expectedly, the atmosphere is plush, and Sinatra croons in the background to add to the whole experience.   (© 10Best)

Morgon's staff gave me my most horrific dining experience. I've been wined and dined at the finest but have never been treated so badly. Admittedly, my escort was a jerk who challenged the waitstaff by stating if Morgon's steak was as good or better than Ruth's he would pay..if not, the restaurant could pick up the tab. I would have paid the bill before I let that happen. Truly a jerk..he further embarrased me and asked for one steak split and a side of brocolli. The steak came and was placed in front of him. Nothing was placed in front of me. I felt as if I had been slapped in the face. I would have walked out if I wasn't trapped in a cellar with no way home. I'll never go back...ever! The wait staff should have realized my pedicament and done what they could to overcome the situation. Instead, they join in his game. The cost of that Rib Eye was around $70.00 and didn't show up Ruth's. Sorry.

I have eaten at 35 different Morton’s, and my high rating is reinforced every time by their consistency. Food is my main priority, and Morton’s prime beef, coupled with their ability to deliver it cooked right every time, produces a great experience. The decor is the same from store to store, helping to create an atmosphere That is Morton’s. Heading to the table I can already taste the beef. Their service is also outstanding, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. When the meal is completed and I'm asked, "How was everything?” I usually say "normal". But normal for Morton’s is way up there, and normal for most others is significantly less. Now you know why I’ve eaten at 35 different Morton’s--some many times.
