This place was awesome! I know I have seen some not so nice thigns but it was great. My husband and I went there on our honeymoon (march od 2009) and they were great. WE had to change our reservations to early, and when we walked in they knewwho we were with out even asking. We did not get all dressed up or anyhtign as an emergency came up and we were on our way back out of town. When calling to set the reservations I told them it was our honeymoon. THey hooked us up, our table was great and they put rose pedals on it even! They treated us very well.... The staff was very attentive and awesome. It was a great place. For appetizers we had: Escargot- AWESOME!!! I loved it, it was as good as the stuff I had at an authentic French place a few years ago. Calamari- Average.. It was not the best but not bad either... It was very good actually. Complimentary bread- GREAT STUFF!!! the pumpernickle bread was the best I have had in a very long itme and the oil and balsamic vinegar was a great set off on taste. Salad: I had a house salad.. Nothing to terribly special this was one of my sides... It was light and not heavy though.. they did not drown it in dressing and it had a slightly sweet taste... I would have put a bit more veges in it but it was good My hubsnad had a ceasar salad... it was the beat!!!! I wish I had ordered it instead!!!! It was light and not over done but had a great flavor. Palat cleanser- they bring you these cute little cups of sorbet to cleanse your mouth... They were very nice abotu this as I am alergic to Banana's and they were serving a strawberry banana flavor that ngiht.. The waiter went in the back and found somethign special for me with no banana's! He was awesome!!! Drink- I had a lollipop... it was not great honestly I didnt like it... I wanted wine but we were in a hurry to get back on the road. Main course: The special... Ic ant remember what the cut of meat was called, but it was excelent. I let my husband order dinner for me and for the cut he did a great job. IT was their special that night, and it was set for 2 people so you ordered that and each 2 sides and they brougth it out to you. Now he had them put onions and mushrooms on mine as a topper, he had the bernaise.. Mine seemed so plain but that was my fualt as I let him pick the topper for my meat. The meat was tender and very very juicy. They cooked it to perfection!!!! For our sid ehe picked Mac n Cheese as this is one of my favorite comfort foods... It wa sthe best ever, even better than my home made stuff that I do!!! It had a tiny bit of blu cheese on top but it wasnt that bad (i hate that stuff)... It barely gave it any flavor and it was only on the top. For the first time in my life I didnt mind eating it!!! The meal was breat and looke very pretty when they brought it out as well.. Dessert: Espresso and Choclate Soufle The espresso was great, the soufle wasnt my favorite but I was so full by that point I couldnt move... The chocolate was very rich and dark the way I like it, but I picked up a bit to much of the egg flavor in it... It was very moist and soft and had a great texture!!! All in all it was a great night and worth the price. It was pricey but we were expecting that!!! It was a lovely night.. : )
