SEDONA.
Small and intimate, this restaurant provides a welcome connection between diners and the new owner and 5-star chef, Ivan Flowers. A Mediterranean-Italian theme runs through decor and food, as evidenced in Greek salads, dolmades, roast lamb, baked fish, and shrimp. Tangy sauces and herbs add a flavor boost, and the menu changes regularly, according to what's fresh. Reservations are a smart idea, given the popularity and the diminutive space. Outdoor dining and a boutique list of hard to find, yet affordable, wines are available as well.

Don't miss the best food in Sedona!
Chef Ivan Flowers recently bought Fournos and the restaurant has now become the best place to eat in town. We were seated and given fresh warm bread and a pesto parmesan garlic dipping sauce that was to die for... Could have made a meal out of that alone! My friend and I then split the spiced peach bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella. We fought over the last piece. I had the pork osso bucco. Served on the bone with pomegranate nectarine orzo. Huge portion and fall of the bone tender. Flavor was out of this world. My friend had the rack of lamb. He said it was some of the best lamb he had ever eaten.. Comes with this yummy artichoke and potato ragout. I had a glass of Yalumba Grenache and he had a glass of Vipra Rosso. Both wines were very good compliments to our dish.. Had to pass on dessert. Too Full! With doggie-bags! Service was attentive and good. Just a word... Cash & Checks only!
Going back soon, just to eat dessert!

Exquisite dining in Sedona
This restaurant changed hands at the beginning of 2009. The name is the same, but the cuisine is French with a Mediterranean flair.
OMG! What an incredible dining experience. I've been coming to Sedona for many years and have been to a wide variety of restaurants, including several of the local fine dining establishments.
Fournos 5-star chef and owner Ivan Flowers is an incredible French chef and the food was exquisite. It began with wonderful fresh bread and a dipping sauce to die for ~ pesto Parmesan with balsamic reduction. We then had the cognac appetizer which was fabulous. Every entree comes with a house salad of tomatoes, English cucumber, red onion, feta, cilantro and strawberries which was an unexpected ingredient that tasted very good. We ordered the lamb and the mahi-mahi. Both were exquisite. The sauces were divine and served to accentuate the full flavor of each dish. There is an extensive wine list. We ended the meal with a Tiramisu that was fabulous.
The service was timely and attentive but not stuffy. Ivan, the chef and owner, made a point of coming out to our table to talk and make sure that everything was to our liking.
I would highly recommend Fournos to anyone looking for a casual, 5 star dining experience. You will not be disappointed.

A small gem!
An absolute delight! What disriminating, adventurous diners seek. A small, innovative menu of dishes with a variety of great tastes. Creative twists on Mediteranean dishes that will seem familiar and new simultaneously, A small carefull selected unique wine list of affordable bottles. Atmosphere is quaint and rustic. It's okay; go for the food and wine.
