Named for Princess Maria Lusia whose generous donation of plants led to the establishment of this park. Refurbished completely for the 1929 Latin-American Expo. This matrix of paths, fountains, gardens, patios and shaded lawns is also marked by beautiful Andalusian architecture and sculptures, which can best be seen in the Plaza de America and the Royal and Mudejar Pavilions. Guided tours on the weekend.

Spain's largest protected area is comprised of 160,000 hectares spanning 10 different districts. An 18-kilometer (11.2 mile) train ride allows for a memorable scenic tour. The tour takes you through a landscape marked by oak and cork trees and inhabited by such rare creatures as the lynx and black vulture. Local villages offer incredible regional foods.

This river teemed with heavy traffic during the time of Columbus. Presently, the traffic consists of tourist steamers and pedal boats. On the weekends, the enchanting paseo is bustling with couples enjoying a romantic stroll and Spanish families dressed in their Sunday best. The scenic view across the river is marked by a row of Andaluz houses with wrought-iron balconies, several of which are now restaurants.

This semi-circular square, built for the 1929 Universal Expo, epitomizes Andalusian regional art, merging elements from existing styles such as Renaissance and Gothic while utilizing exposed brick as the primary building material. Enjoy a boat ride around the perimeter's moat. An exquisite display of fountains, staircases, and tile work, the plaza is now primarily comprised of government offices.
