Summer or winter, rain or shine, Seward and the surrounding Kenai Peninsula offers every visitor something in the way of relaxation. Russian Orthodox churches, well-preserved gold rush towns and a myriad of museums provide weeks' worth of diversions for sightseers who like to keep their feet dry. Heartier types will want to take a fjord cruise, a "flightseeing" safari or perhaps try their hand at dog mushing.
