10. Wynn Nature Center

HOMER.   The Alaska Center for Coastal Studies runs this non-profit center, dedicated to educating the public about the state's indigenous flora and fauna. More than 130 acres of spruce forest and wildflower fields can be explored on your own or with a guide. An 800-foot viewing boardwalk is accessible to people with disabilities. This is a birding hotspot where bald eagles and grouse are frequently seen.   (© 10Best)
