SEWARD.
The Seward Ranger District of the nation's second largest national forest encompasses the westernmost 890,000 acres. Within this wilderness you can spend the night at primitive campsites or maintained camping areas. Some of the world's best fishing is on the Russian River, where the red salmon run each July. Humans aren't the only ones that appreciate this delicious fish—give the bears wide berth.
