Inside a courtyard of beautiful gardens stands the home built for Bess of Hardwick, later to be known as the Countess of Shrewsbury. It is a fine example of Elizabethan architecture and contains many outstanding tapestries and furniture dating to the 16th century. This is a National Trust Property.   (© 10Best)
