1. Ashoka

This quaint up-market restaurant serves boldly spiced meals in the evenings. The small restaurant has seating along one of its walls where families have dined for over 30 years. Pay close attention, for you'll notice that on the paper napkins there is a map with the owner's birthplace clearly marked on it. The area, Shylhet, is now known as Bangladesh. Went the other Monday evening. Some menu options not available. Very nice food but not, in my opinion, in any way exceptional! Downside is that it was very expensive. £20-ish for main course, poppadoms, pickles and coffee).
