2. La Scala Italian Restaurant

Start your experience in the basement wine bar, then move on to the meal, which is meant to be savored and lingered over at La Scala. The restaurant is decorated thematically after the famous opera of the same name, with colorful posters on the walls and an interior made to look like you're in exclusive box seats waiting for the lights to go down. Superbly prepared dishes like chicken breast with red peppers, onions, and fresh Romano cheese, or veal saltimbocca wrapped in Parma ham. We have eaten at La Scala about 7 or 8 times in the last 12 months. We love it there and have never been disappointed with food or service. It is our favourite restaurant in Sheffield.
