10. National Day Parade

The Buzz -- The biggest birthday party of the year, this annual extravaganza is a jaw-dropping display of song, dance, lasers, pyrotechnics and more. There's even skydiving displays and a fly-past by the Air Force, and the local celebs are out in full force. Thousands of students and representatives from other organizations take part in parades, mass dances, choir performances, flashcard displays and multimedia projections, before the evening climaxes in a spectacular fireworks display. Since 2007, the National Day Parade has been held at the Marina Bay waterfront. Tickets are distributed by e-balloting.
