8. Nadaman

Whether you're craving sushi or teppanyaki, Nadaman is the place. The small Japanese chain has only a handful of locations outside its native country – Singapore is one lucky city! Not only is the atmosphere suitably clean-lined and stylish, the food is top notch. If you're not overly familiar with Japanese food, a bento box is the way to go, because you get to sample several flavors and textures in small amounts. Set menus, with or without sushi, are another great option, giving you larger portions of more dishes like udon noodles with tempura prawns, beef teriyaki, and shabu shabu (hotpot of beef and vegetables cooked at the table in flavorful broth).
