IndoChine Waterfront's setting is widely regarded as the most romantic and attractive in town, with fine views of the river, a mix of oriental antiques and modern furniture, and crystal chandeliers. Indonesian cuisine has Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian influences, and many dishes here also show a bit of French influence, a holdover from colonial days. Things to try: seafood galangal soup, black pepper beef, grilled scallops and basil chicken are all wonderful. And be sure to save room for the lemongrass crème brûlée – sublime! Service has a tendency to be hit and miss, but don't let it detract from the experience – the food is truly wonderful. After dining, stop by the adjacent Bar Opiume, a super-stylish spot that's popular for cocktails and celebrity sightings.
