10. Samy's Curry Restaurant

Samy's is a much respected southern Indian banana leaf restaurant. As soon as you're seated, a large green banana leaf will be placed on the table before you. This is your plate, and a mound of rice will be spooned directly onto it. Then the buckets of curry start arriving. Take your pick from vegetables, chicken, mutton, fish, prawns and various combinations thereof. The fish head curry is among the best in town. Try to get a table on the verandah – it's breezier and more attractive. The open air dining hall is located in a civil service club, and non-members must pay a nominal admission fee – more than worth it for food this good.   (© 10Best)
