FINANCIAL DISTRICT. It's a bit on the crowded and loud side, but Lei Garden has simply fantastic food. It's in the hip Chijmes complex, an attractive former convent, church and school, with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the courtyard. Double boiled soups are the specialty, and the dim sum lunch is incredibly popular. The Peking duck (also called Beijing duck) is fabulous, but be aware that unless you order it in advance, your server will bring a live duck to your table for approval. Then the bird is returned to the kitchen and your meal is served in stages, the traditional way, with the crispy skin coming out first, and the meat arriving some time later.
