Rang Mahal has won a multitude of awards, each and every one of which is richly deserved. Opened in 1971, the upscale restaurant serves "haute Indian cuisine," which actually runs the gamut from classic to innovative. Saunfwali Hazavi is a traditional favorite consisting of tandoori chicken stuffed with onions, chilli, pistachios and cheese; seafood lovers would do well to try the tandoori oysters with their fabulous smoky-sweetness.
