Opened in 2006, this is Singapore's most modern mall, and at over 92,000 square meters (a million square feet), it's also the city's largest. Among the big-name retailers here are Tang's, Toys 'R' Us, ESPRIT, Marks & Spencer, a Metropolitan Museum of Art New York gift shop, Swarovski, Liz Claiborne and L'Occitane. About 40 eateries supply all the basic food groups and then some, while Golden Village handles entertainment with its 15-screen, 24-hour cinema. There's also a massive pool on the roof (equivalent to four Olympic size pools!), an amphitheater, numerous attractive outdoor spaces for strolling or watching the world go by, and even an MRT station. The mall's undulating architecture lends itself well to zoning, and stores are arranged thematically to allow easier shopping.   (© 10Best)
