6. Los Ebanos

SAN BENITO.   This privately-owned, 82-acre nature preserve offers a unique opportunity to observe native birds and other forms of wildlife in their natural habitats. In addition to lake vistas, the well-manicured grounds also offer several butterfly gardens. Casa Los Ebanos itself is something of an attraction, a lovely plantation-style home built in the 1930s that is decorated with antique furnishings.
