5. Beach Fest

The Buzz -- This early summer festival packs all types of activities into its four-day span, pitting teams against one another in pursuit of the Beach Sport Championship. Competitions include a 5-K run, volleyball tourney, ocean relay, capture the flag tourney, bench press challenge and 7-player tug of war. The weekend's not all competition and testosterone, though, as there are also live bands every day, plenty to eat and drink, and scores of military vehicles on display.
