8. The Flour Mill

DOWNTOWN.   This unique shopping center, which is home to such stores as Chocolate Apothecary, Kitchen Engine, The Bead Shoppe, Tobacco World, and Clinkerdaggers Restaurant, is located on the north bank of the Spokane River near the Spokane Arena. For more than 100 years, the Flour Mill was just as its name implied – a mill that ground wheat into flour. In 1974, as part of the city's preparation for the World's Fair, the mill was renovated to provide downtown space for eateries and retailers.   (© 10Best)

The Flour Mill has really come around lately. The ownership has made some great upgrades, and the tenants are quite a bit better than they used to be. Recommended to all as a "must-see" in Spokane
