This family owned restaurant has been offering exceptional Cuban and Spanish Tapas dining for over 100 years. In fact, it consistently earns the vote for best Spanish restaurant in Florida. Its location, convenient to multiple historic landmarks, and lovely interior decorated with hand painted tiles and Spanish fountains make it a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner while touring the city.   (© 10Best)

Great place for lunch
Conveniently located at the corner of St. George and Hypolita in the center of the historic shopping district makes this a great choice for lunch. The interior decor actually upstages the food itself although the food is very good. The 1905 salad is one of their specialties and when combined with the great Cuban bread is actually a meal that would satisfy most. We, however, could not help ourselves and added a sampling of fried lobster (2), crab (4), and chicken (4)croquettes which was very good. If you like sangria, they make it right at the table just as they had our salad. This would have been a great place to which to return for dinner, but with only three days in town we felt we needed to try other restaurants as well.

Pick another dining spot....
Recently dined there with out-of-town company and the experience was just as disappointing as a previous visit to the Celebration, FL location. The waiter was rude and the food oversalted. Not returning to either location. It's a shame...the restaurants are beautiful and promise a great dining experience. Don't go unless you want overseasoning and a menu where items are sold out as early as 7 in the evening.

The mojito was great--came with a stick of sugar cane--and the tapas were pretty good. We sat in the courtyard, which was beautiful, but the service could have been bumped up a notch. We tried almost everything on the tapas menu and weren't disappointed in anything. Very good meal.
