6. Harry's Seafood, Bar & Grille

Sit in the courtyard
The inside of Harry's is nice, but very noisy. If the weather will permit it, sit in the courtyard. We started with a calamari appetizer, which was fair. My wife had a garden salad (nothing special) and the she crab soup. The soup tasted like the she crab had walked through it and left only salt behind and was so poor that the waitress actually took it off the bill even before we had suggested such an action. I had a very large portion of their Cajun jambalaya consisting of shrimp, chicken and smoked sausage over pasta. This dish was excellent and really saved the evening since my wife was very disappointed.

Harry's was packed on Saturday night, so we had to wait a bit. The Hurricane was my favorite drink--as good as any on Bourbon Street. The food was excellent (especially the red beans and rice) and both the courtyard (where we ate) and the inside of the place were gorgeous.
