ST. CLOUD. These gardens, set along the Mississippi and resting below Clemens Gardens, were established in the 1930s. Created in part with WPA labor, they're less formal than those at Clemens but twice as large. Thanks to mature trees, shade is prevalent, and plants that thrive in it are prominent, full of life and color. Stretches of grass add visual relief and underscore the grounds' lushness. Plus, a variety of water features punctuates Munsinger, which recreates land once occupied by a sawmill.
