DOWNTOWN.   One of St. Cloud's most recognizable destinations, this terrific restaurant and bar occupies a building dating to 1886. Built by Dolson B. Searle, a prominent lawyer and judge, the structure still boasts original detailing and loads of character. The broad menu offers everything from steaks and seafood to pastas, fajitas, and burgers. A full bar also offers plenty of options, and the weekday happy hour is perennially well-attended. Other evening attractions include live music and drink specials.   (© 10Best)

Wow - someone really needs to update their review. My husband and I were just at DBs to celebrate a birthday. We no longer live in the area, but had very fine memories of what used to be a fine dining establishment (and of course, fine Long Island Ice teas) Our fond memories were quickly replaced with a very bad taste. First, the chincy flatware was of poor quality and the tines of our forks were bent. All of our serving pieces had to be replaced because someone else's meal remained on it. The place wasn't crowded (should've been our first clue) yet it took 15 minutes for our drink orders. When they brought the side salad and soup, they no sooner put it down when they asked "would we like our meal served now?" - what - or wait until it's cold. Any decent restaurant would've had their timing better. Our meal tonight was terrible! My husband's NY Steak ordered medium rare was served well done - not a smidge of pink meat. Our vegies were steamed until they were beyond recognition. Our vodka martini requested "up with a test" was made with gin and a lime - tasted like a gin and tonic. Truly the DBs of the past is no more.
