4. Fluvarium

St. John's is home to the only public, year-round fluvarium in North America. It's located off Allandale Road not far from Memorial University. This unique building descends three stories below the earth, allowing visitors to learn about the ecology of freshwater rivers and see brook and brown trout, eels and frogs swimming in their natural setting.
