2. Fair St Louis

The Buzz -- This annual event is held in the Laclede's Landing district on the St. Louis riverfront. Free concerts spotlight both nationally known performers and local bands, such as Jo Dee Messina, Pat Benatar, and the Beach Boys. Other events include air shows, 3K and 10K runs, storytellers, crafts, and fireworks, along with a popular barbecue competition. The Veiled Prophet Parade (one of St Louis' oldest events) takes place on the 4th of July.
